Dry dog food is a common source of Salmonella, according to new research. In an article for Pediatrics, Dr. Casey Barton Behravesh of the US CDC says that contact with pets and their environment (a.k.a. dog bowls and toys) can cause human infection. If you happen to feed your dog in the kitchen then you and your family is even more at risk, about 4 times, of getting sick from Salmonella.
