Coat Composition
The corded coat is not a coat type but rather a unique style.  The loose curly and the tight curly coat types can both be corded. The loose curly coat will have flatter cords while the tight curly will have a tighter rounder cord.   Cording takes place when the longer top coat curls around the softer undercoat trapping it within evenly shaped cords that are much like dreadlocks.  This is a form of controlled matting and it takes many hours to get the coat to form properly.

Shedding Pattern
The corded coat sheds in a mosaic pattern.

Breeds
The following breeds can be corded:

Komondor
