The Drop Coat

Coat Composition
The drop coat is made up of long hair that falls from the back down the body.  The hair is most often soft and silky but can also be coarse and is the closest to resemble human hair.  There is very little if any under coat so the coat has no lift allowing it to fall down the back.  There are cow licks but they are only visible when the coat is trimmed short.  This coat sheds very lightly and needs plenty of brushing.

Shedding Pattern
The drop coat sheds in a mosaic pattern.
