Amazon Community Animal Rescue, Education & Safety (CARES) is focused on rescuing and aiding the dogs of the Peruvian Amazon region. Because of the notoriety of the environmental issues in the Amazon, assistance to domesticated animals has been overlooked. Founded in 2004 Amazon CARES provides assistance to stray animals and animals in need.
Founded by Molly Mednikow Amazon CARES has worked relentelssly for over 5 years to make a significant impact on the living conditions and health of animals and humans in teh poorest region of Peru.
