The last place you might think to look for a diamond ring is in your dog's stomach but its not that far fetched of an idea! Karen Wooley was searching for a lost 100-year old ring with a metal detector when she happened to run it by Barney's, her cocker spaniel mix, tummy. Sure enough the metal detector went off!
'The ring is usually on my finger but I took it off for a bath. I was devastated to lose it but it slowly dawned on me that there was a good chance it was inside the dog. We had an old metal detector that I'd wanted to use in fields near our house.
'It flashed away when I passed it over Barney's chest and then 20 minutes later lit up on his belly - so the mystery was solved.'
If you have a breed that needs lots of grooming train your dog to tollerate grooming as a pup. It makes life better for you and your dog!
