If you decide to shoot your spouse in the head, you might not want to say your were trying to shoot the dog. While the vast majority of people would never think of shooting their spouse, Brant Bater of Twin Peaks, CA. did just that and blamed the dog!
Brant Bater, 61, of the San Bernardino County mountain town of Twin Peaks, told investigators he was aiming for the dog but hit his 61-year-old wife, Faith, once in the head, the sheriff's department says. She was pronounced dead at the scene Friday afternoon. He told deputies the dog had become aggressive toward him.
Gladly the police didn't buy the story and upgraded the manslaughter charge to out right murder!
