If by chance you have registered your pet dog online and purchased a vest so you can bring your pal anywhere, you might be out of luck as of today.  The DOJ has changed American Disabilities Act to be more specific because of the sharp rise in fake service animals.  The new rules now defined a service animal as a dog or in some cases a mini horse, that has been trained to perform specific tasks for a disabled person.

If there was any doubt to whether people felt the recession was coming to an end, the rise of puppy parties is a sure sign that some people are beginning to feel better.  Vendors that target pet owners are seeing a sharp increase in parties being thrown for pets. 

Betty Wong, owner of Pawtisserie, a dog bakery in Brooklyn specializing in natural dog treats, has seen a sharp increase in the number of people throwing birthday parties for their dogs.

 

As we are in the midst of the holidays, we thought it would be a good time to remind everyone of some hazards for your pup that might be lurking around your house at this time of the year.

Newly opened Lily's Kitchen Diner in London is stirring up quite a bit of press.  This is not just any ordinary diner, its a proper diner for dogs.  Has this dog craze gotten out of hand?

In the evenings, real candelabras hover above the diner’s three large communal tables, each of which is a different height; to serve all sized dogs, from Chihuahuas to Lurchers – and even mongrels. Yes, this is a commendably inclusive place.

Personally we thing our dogs look great just the way they are, but if you think yours could use a little more color in their life then you might just be tempted to break out the color and give them a dye job.  Public opinion varies greatly on the subject, some people think its fun while others find it cruel, so if you do decide to have Fifi rock the pink fur be prepared to hear both sides.
